Tracking up

can anyone give me advice...my horse will track up in the walk and medium trot but finds it difficult in the working trot. how will i encourage him to track up throughout a dressage test? will i be marked down if he doesn't track up in a dressage test?

hi I had the same problem with my curent pony when i first got him! I would do ALOT of work without stirrups and tansitions! use your leg to hault not just to get going! i would try and get him bending around the leg and focus on sitting for the correct beats when you get that then push for an extra stride!

Hi Joey,

Thanks a million for your advice. What sort of transitions should I be doing? The horse is definitely coming on and will try the work without stirrups this evening.
